NMPL SEED LIBRARY
Located in front of adult fiction, the library's Take and Give Seed Library is a wonderful way to promote beauty and food security in our community! The seed library features small packs of flower and vegetable seeds available on a first come, first serve basis. Black Eyed Susans, Cauliflower, Marigolds, Chives - there are so many choices!
If you're a long time gardener needing a few varieties to round out your spring planting, this is for you. If you're a novice who wants to try your hand at a plant or two without making a significant financial commitment, this is for you. If you're a teacher or caregiver looking for an hands-on educational activity for your kids, this is for you. Anyone is welcome to help themselves to the seeds they want at any time the library is open. Our seeds go fast, so we greatly appreciate donations of seeds from anyone who has extra to share. To make a donation, bring any seeds in a plastic bag or envelop to the front desk. Whether you're taking or giving, we hope you'll stop by (and check out some of our amazing gardening books while you're at it!). The North Manchester Public Library would like to thank Eden Brothers Seeds and Mississippi Foundation for Renewable Energy for their generous contribution of herb and vegetable seeds to the seed library. Thank you! |
