The VITA Tax Services Program is here at the library today from 10am to 4pm! Pathfinder Services HomeOwnership Center offers the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at the North Manchester Public Library. The Pathfinder IRS trained and certified staff members and volunteers provide free tax preparation assistance to those who made less than $55,000 the previous year and who meet other qualifications of the program.
The HomeOwnership Center has been administering the VITA Program for more than a decade and results in hundreds of thousands of dollars in total Earned Income Tax Credits and generates millions of dollars in tax refunds for those served each year. Join us on Facebook today at 11am for another delicious Cook a Book! We'll be making Longevity Noodles from Xi’an Famous Foods - which is so much more than just a cookbook! It’s the story of Jason Wang and his journey from Western China to the Midwest to NYC. It’s a deep dive into the ingredients, techniques, and cuisine of Western China. It’s the tale of a sometimes contentious, sometimes productive, but always loving father-son relationship. It’s another chapter in the growth of a tiny kiosk to a restaurant with 14 locations. And it’s straight up delicious!
The mission of the North Manchester Public Library is to provide materials, programs, and services necessary to meet the recreational and educational needs of the community in an easily-accessible facility, which is a community center of activity and information.
