Log in to Facebook for a wonderful Virtual Storytime event! We'll be singing silly songs, reading a fun story, and making a cool craft. This week: NATURE CROWNS! Awaken the force with these Lightsaber Popsicle Holders today at 3:45pm on the library lawn! Learn to make these crafty holders, then enjoy a sweet popsicle treat! Supplies are first come, first serve. Our FIRST Dirty Diggers Club is tonight at 6:00pm! Elementary and middle school aged kids will enjoy fun activities and projects that help them learn about nature and gardening. Sessions will begin on the library lawn and will occasionally include short walks to nearby green spaces. Teens interested in volunteering can speak to Sarah in the Children’s Department. Dirty Diggers will be held outside with the library’s Blocher Community Room reserved as a backup space for inclement weather. Masks are required inside the library.
Roots: Our very first Dirty Diggers meeting is going straight to the source: Roots! What are they? How do they help plants grow? What happens if you water the leaves of a plant instead of the roots? Can you eat roots? Join us as we discover the answer to these questions and many more through hands-on activities. We'll also be potting and planting baby Honeydrop Cherry Tomato plants donated by Denney Farms. Each attendee will be able to take Honeydrops to grow at home this summer!
