Clouds, pipes, bowler hats, and green apples: these remain some of the most immediately recognizable icons of René Magritte, the Belgian painter, and well-known Surrealist. In this session of Homeschool Art, children will learn about the artist and his use of everyday items to create surrealist art. The session will begin with a short presentation in the Blocher Community Room and will be followed by an activity inspired by Magritte’s work. Wearing clothes that can get messy is always a good idea! Registration is required for every child planning to attend. Space is limited. Participants are encouraged to bring a folder to keep any coloring pages or fact sheets they are given during the class. Masks are required for all indoor programs. November class registration will open on October 4th. Elementary aged kids enjoy an hour of stories, games, crafts and snacks tonight at 6pm for Evening Tales! Today we'll learn to make Candy Corn Jars - perfect for decorating your room or holding all your candy.
