Today: Cookie & Photo Contest Begins, Lego Club, and Gingerbread Man Banner Virtual Program!

Happy December! We have a full day of programming ahead and we hope you'll join us here at NMPL or online!

First up, our Christmas Cookie & Photo Contest starts TODAY! Mmmmmm! It’s that time of year when our kitchens smell like gingerbread and chocolate and sugar and spices! Do you have a favorite cookie you like to bake every year? A family tradition of a decorating party? However you “cookie” in December, we’d like you to enter our Christmas Cookie & Photo Contest! Submit your recipe and a photo of the baking and decorating fun by Thursday, December 23rd.

We’ll select a winning entry in the Kids (Jumbo Cookie Baking Kit), Teen (Decorating Kit, Food Coloring Pens, and Cookie Scoop), and Adult (Bakeware Cookie Sheet Set, Food Coloring Markers, and Cookie Scoop) Categories.

To enter the contest, submit your photo and recipe on the contest page HERE, or by picking up an entry form at the front desk. Winners will be announced the week after Christmas!

Lego Club is today at 3:45pm! ​Come build with the library’s collection of thousands of Lego bricks and turn Lego pieces into a colorful ornament just right for the Children’s Department tree!

Is there anything more festive than a holiday banner? Spicy gingerbread people and swirled peppermints combine to make the perfect banner to hang on your tree, in your doorway, or on your walls!
