Today kicks off Children's Book Week here at NMPL! Visitors to the Children's Department during Children's Book Week will be given an official bookmark/activity page. A different bookmark will be given out each day, Monday - Friday. Visit the library every day and collect all five! Stop by and see us on Saturday for a bonus step-by-step drawing activity. We have a full day of awesome programs planned for you to enjoy! First up, Baby Yoda has taken over the internet... and you can make your own adorable Star Wars creature by picking up a kit at the library and tuning in to the Facebook video today at 11am! Looking for a cozy way to spend a rainy afternoon? How about Rock Painting?! Join us in the NMPL Makerspace to learn how to turn rocks into Jawas! If you are a seasoned rock painter, or just a Star Wars lover looking for easy Star Wars crafts, these painted rocks are perfect for you! Makerspace max capacity is 20 so this program will be first come, first serve. Masks are required. The fun doesn't stop there! Evening Tales is back tonight at 6pm! Elementary aged kids will enjoy a full hour of games, stories, crafts! It’s Children’s Book Week and we’ll celebrate by each designing the book cover of our dreams!
Evening Tales will be held outside with the library’s Blocher Community Room reserved as a backup space for inclement weather. Masks are required inside the library.
