Today, for National Library Week, we are celebrating all our amazing volunteers who help make NMPL so awesome! From weeding projects, to newsletters, to our homebound program, to helping us with our genre projects, our volunteers do so much for the library and we cannot thank them enough! Thank you for being a part of Team NMPL! If you have volunteered with us this year, make sure you stop by the library today for a special gift! Did you know NMPL offers a FREE Homebound Service to patrons? WHAT IS THE HOMEBOUND SERVICES? Library volunteers or employees deliver and pick up materials by special arrangement to anyone within the town limits who is unable to come to the library on a regular basis. Library materials can be requested by the homebound patron via phone or the web, or our volunteers will choose materials for homebound patrons based on their reading preferences. WHO CAN USE THE HOMEBOUND SERVICES? Anyone who finds it difficult to come to the library on a regular basis, due to extended illness, disability, and limited mobility, or other special circumstances, may use the Homebound Service. HOW OFTEN ARE MATERIALS DELIVERED? WHAT MATERIALS ARE DELIVERED? Up to 10 items may be delivered week or bi-weekly (every other week). The choice is yours!
