Happy National Library Week! Today is Library Outreach Day, so with that in mind, we're focusing on our AMAZING Homebound Program!
Did you know that anyone who finds it difficult to come to the library on a regular basis, due to extended illness, disability, and limited mobility, or other special circumstances, may use the Homebound program? That's right!Library employees will deliver and pick up materials by special arrangement to anyone within the town limits. Weekly deliveries are also made to Peabody & Timbercrest. Library materials can be requested by the homebound patron via phone or the web, or our staff will choose materials for homebound patrons based on their reading preferences. Up to 10 items may be delivered weekly or bi-weekly - the choice is yours! All library materials are available for delivery, including books, audiobooks, music CDs, DVDs, and magazines. We're so glad to be able to offer this program to our patrons. If you're interested in finding out more information, just give us a call at (260)982-4773 or visit the Homebound page of our website. Because reading empowers you to travel the world without ever setting foot outside your door. Because everyone should have access to books (and magazines and movies and CDs). Because being housebound should never mean being bookless. Because we love our patrons!
