The hours of the room are Monday through Saturday from 7am to 10pm. The room is not booked on Sundays or on holidays.
With the re-opening of the room, the NMPL is also introducing an updated board-approved policy. The room will be able to be used by non-profit and community groups for a $40 refundable deposit, while private events and parties can use the room for a non-refundable renters fee. The amount for private events will be based upon hours of use. Reservations lasting four (4) hours or less will be charged a rental fee of forty dollars ($40.00) and reservation times over four (4) hours will be charged a rental fee of sixty dollars ($60.00). This new policy will help offset the cost of upkeep and maintenance to the room, in addition to covering the utilities that are used during renting. Bookings must be done at the library, but those wanting to check the availability of a date can call the library at (260) 982-4773. For more information, please visit our Blocher Room page.
