Storytime is today at 11am! We’ll be reading “The Patchwork Bike”, making music with rhythm sticks and creating a patchwork bike piece of art! 🚲 BeTween is today at 3:45pm in the Makerspace and younger kids are invited to come to Open Lego Hour for a free time to create and build with legos! Our FIRST Hoosier Storyteller program is today at 6:30pm! North Manchester native, Andrew Chinworth. Chinworth has traveled and lived in many locations but none more interesting than the house he built in a neighboring community--Lagro, Indiana. Chinworth has built a cabin in the woods run by solar power. Join us for a presentation that will outline his process and discuss the reasoning behind this project!

We’re reading the classic favorite “The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear” today at Scavenger Storytime! We'll also be disguising our own red ripe strawberry from the big hungry bear and going on a scavenger hunt! 🍓 🐭 🐻 Evening Tales is tonight at 6:00pm and in honor of Black History Month we’ll learn the traditional art of Adinkra Fabric Stamping from Ghana, West Africa. Participants will learn the meanings behind various Adinkra symbols and have the opportunity to make their own length of Adinkra cloth to take home with them.

We'll have THREE Storytime's next week - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 11am! Join us on Monday at 6 pm for Evening Tales to learn to speak Fantse phrases, shake hands like a Ghanaian, and explore printmaking with traditional Ghanaian Adinkra symbols (each of which has a special meaning). Creative Kids will be making paper bag ninjas on Wednesday at 3:45pm and then be sure to come to Open Lego Hour on Thursday at 3:45pm! Our FIRST Hoosier Storytellers is Thursday at 6:30pm with Andrew Chinworth! Come hear his story and don't miss next week at the library!
