Happy National Library Week! First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.
NMPL will be celebrating National Library Week with activities related to the American Library Association’s celebration of the week. The theme for this year is “Libraries Lead” and our theme days here at NMPL are as follows:
Monday—Celebrate NMPL Day
Tuesday—National Library Worker’s Day
Thursday—Advocate for Libraries Day
Friday—Teen Prom and Volunteer Recognition Day
We begin by celebrating this past year at NMPL - thanks to every single one of our patrons who made 2017 such a wonderful year for us! We so appreciate you! We hope you enjoy looking back with us through this video slideshow!
